Recently, the CEO and president of Cartier International in an interview with Xinhua said that both male and female counter parts enjoy the same social and economic influence and that the passion of female entrepreneurs for new and innovative ideas is required these days.
Stanislas de Quercize has also told reporters that “women bring more human care to their enterprises”, on the 2013 Women’s Forum for the Society and Economy, being held in Deauville in the northeast part of France. This forum was established on the year of 2005. The main objective and agenda of the forum was of uplifting the social and economical status and to look in to the various issues from the perspective of women.
Women Entrepreneurs Are in Demand in Business Industries
It is the firm belief of Quercize that both men and women are complementary to each other in entrepreneurship and “this complementarity makes the world a better place”. He also said that it is high time for more women to come forth and start becoming active entrepreneurs. It has been reported that only about 30 percent of women account for active entrepreneurship.
This is the main reason why Cartier established such a forum, where women are awarded for their contribution as active entrepreneurs, for paying a tribute to their generosity and passion, to ensure they earn their worth of visibility and the right resources for starting their business.
This year, they crowned six female entrepreneurs from the United States, Guatemala, Nigeria, Ireland, Jordan and India. These women have been awarded for their excellent financial sustainability, creativity and also social impact. Their contribution has also made them receive the award for Cartier Women’s Enterprise Trophy.
Each of these budding entrepreneurs received funding of US$20,000, networking and visibility opportunities and, most importantly, personalized business coaching for one year. This particular initiative was taken by Cartier in association with Women’s Forum, McKinsey & Company and INSEAD Business School in the year 2006. Since then, six female entrepreneurs are being selected from 18 finalists every year from different continents of the world.
